Three charged with prostitution in Carol Stream

A woman from Downers Grove and two from Florida face prostitution charges after being arrested in Carol Stream, police said Friday.

Authorities from the Carol Stream Police Department and the DuPage Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group arrested the three suspects at a business Thursday night and charged each of them with one misdemeanor count of prostitution.

Those arrested were: Stephanie Singh, 25, of Downers Grove; Courtney Wallrich, 22, of Florida; and Rebecca Chap, 25, of Florida.

Singh, who used to reside in Carol Stream, also was charged with one felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance suspected to be a small amount of heroin, Carol Stream Sgt. Tom Miller said.

Miller said the investigation targeted individuals with a known history involving drugs or prostitution.

Singh appeared at a bond hearing Friday morning and was required to pay $750 to be released. Wallrich and Chap were released pending a January court date.
