Fire leaves Libertyville home uninhabitable

Fire swept through a Libertyville home Thursday, injuring none but leaving the two-story structure uninhabitable, authorities said Friday.

Dispatchers were notified of the fire at 11:38 a.m. on the 1700 block of Park Crest Court, said Assistant Chief Brian Conner of the Libertyville Fire Department.

One person was home at the time of the blaze, but was able to get out on his own, Conner said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes. Damages are estimated to be more than $100,000.

A cause has not been determined and authorities are still investigating.
