Christian Liberty falls in title game
Sydney Doby had 23 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists to lead Harvest Christian (10-3) to a 45-43 triumph over Christian Liberty Academy on Friday in the championship of the Alden-Hebron tournament.
Morgan Lockwood added 10 points and 8 assists and Kylee Knox had 8 assists for the Lions.
“It was a great job,” said Lions coach Kelly Friestad. “We fought all the way through the end and pulled out the win.”
Jess Moriarty led the Chargers with 14 points and 2 3-pointers, followed by Colleen Sullivan (11 points and 1 3-pointer) and Jayna Rowland (8 points).
It was the first loss in the four-game tourney for coach Colleen Sullivan’s Chargers, who are now 9-5.
Christian Liberty defeated the Lions 39-29 in the first game of the tourney on Tuesday.
