Schwabe leads Antioch victory

Junior guard Rachel Schwabe scored a career-high 13 points, and two of her teammates also scored in double figures, as Antioch's girls basketball team bounced back after losing its opening game in the Lisle tournament.

The Sequoits defeated Reed-Custer 59-25 Wednesday, as Megan Borries and Paige Gallimore added 12 points each. Borries also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists, while Brittany Kelly chipped in 5 points and 8 rebounds. Alex Fracek grabbed 7 rebounds in the win.

Nine players scored for Antioch (6-8, 1-1).

The 5-foot-2 Schwabe sank three 3-pointers. Borries buried a pair, and Melanie Lass also hit a shot from beyond the arc.
