Arrest made in Lincolnshire fraud case
A Chicago man has been arrested following a yearlong fraud investigation by Lincolnshire police and the U.S. Secret Service, authorities said.
Quentin D. Knox, 39, of the 1700 block of North Meade, was charged with two counts of identity theft.
The investigation began in December 2010 when police responded to a business on the 200 block of Parkway Drive for a fraud report. Investigators later learned suspects were presenting forged checks to various businesses across the Chicago area.
On Dec. 20, police and Secret Service special agents stopped Knox’s vehicle and arrested him. The case remains under investigation, authorities said.
