The skinny: The last time these two teams met, Ohio State was ranked No. 1 and escaped with a 67-61 OT win in the Big Ten tourney. NU is coming off a tough road loss to No. 21 Creighton, 87-79, while the Buckeyes coasted to a 69-40 home win over Miami (Ohio). The big man for OSU is still a huge force in the middle as sophomore Jared Sullinger leads with a 16.2 scoring average, followed by Deshaun Thomas and William Buford at 15.8 points apiece. Two former suburban stars, John Shurna (19.4 ppg) and Drew Crawford (18.1 ppg), lead the Wildcats in scoring. Defense could be the key with the Buckeyes holding opponents to 40.2 percent field goal shooting and coming up with 8.7 steals per game.
