Oakton St. impassible during rush hour

I’d like to pass on “jeers” to Des Plaines. They have made it impossible to get through their town during rush hours on Oakton Street, between River Road and the Metra tracks. People were using the westbound “outside lane” to avoid traffic but the city has painted this into a parking lane. The eastbound traffic is even worse. Why don’t they try to help the traffic problems? This area should be two lanes in both directions.
