Move to Denver might suit Blagojeviches

Someone should inform the Blagojevich camp that Denver International Airport, as mentioned in one of the daily papers, is not a short distance from the federal prison he would be assigned to, if in fact he is assigned there.

In fact, it’s a good 45 minute drive, (once you are actually able to get out of the airport) to Denver proper. From there, assuming there is no traffic, it will be another 15 minutes or so to get to the Littleton area. Total of a good hour from DIA and not an easy drive.

Therefore, when the family visits, in addition to airfare, it would be an extremely expensive taxi ride or a cheaper rental car. It was also mentioned that the family had no intention of moving to the Denver area. Why not? It’s a beautiful area, housing is cheaper than the Chicago area and the suburbs around and including Littleton are wonderful places to raise a family.

Personally, I think they should revisit that idea. The 8-year-old will adjust well, the 15-year-old will in time, and Patti should be fine. If I were in their situation, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
