Cup of Cheer a rousing success
Thank you, thank you to the Naperville community and friends of the Naperville Garden Club for their recent attendance at our annual Cup of Cheer House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea.
This December was the 51st year that the club hosted the event. Our volunteers work throughout the year to showcase four beautiful homes decorated for the holidays as well as making seasonal items for purchase in our holiday market.
This year’s commemorative poinsettia pattern fine bone china tea cup and saucer was a huge hit with the 1,000 attendees.
Special thanks to the area vendors who helped to sell our tickets: Country Curtains, Nona Jo’s, Just Ducky, The Growing Place, Oxford Bank and Naperville Bank and Trust. Thanks additionally to the generous homeowners who opened their doors to the Club and the community.
We would like to recognize our business partners: North Central College and Naperville Unit District 203. Thank you Naperville North Dance Team for your volunteer hours and participation. Naperville North’s Madrigal Singers also added to the festivities. Raffle participants donated many valuable items.
Last, but certainly not least, we thank and recognize the Naperville Garden Club members whose efforts are a true labor of love. Their commitment ensures the continuation of a holiday tradition in the city of Naperville. The Cup of Cheer event helps to fund area scholarships as well as support the club’s community activities. We could not continue without your generous support and attendance. Mark your calendars for December 6 and 7, 2012. See you then.
