Naperville fire causes $125,000 in damage
Naperville authorities are investigating a fire that started in an attached garage early Sunday morning, causing an estimated $125,000 in damage and leaving the home uninhabitable.
No one was injured in the fire on the 400 block of Whispering Hills Drive, authorities said in a news release.
Naperville firefighters called to the residence at about 3:35 a.m. Sunday found heavy smoke and fire showing from the garage, officials said. After confirming that nobody was in the house, emergency crews extinguished the blaze in 20 minutes. The residents were not at home at the time fire, authorities said.
The residents have made arrangements for temporary shelter, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
