Traffic signal work begins at Grace and St. Charles Road
LOMBARD, Illinois—The Lombard Public Works Department is advising residents and motorists that Meade Electric is scheduled to transfer the connection of the Grace Street/St. Charles Road traffic signals to the Union Pacific Railroad's new control cabinet on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
The work is scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will be under the supervision of the Illinois Commerce Commission.
All traffic signals at this intersection will be in flash red (4-way stop) mode during this time.
The project is not expected to affect rush hour traffic. However, the village is asking that when possible, motorists please use alternate routes to avoid this intersection.
