Elk Grove Village launches website for permits

Elk Grove Village this week launched a new website aimed at streamlining village processes and helping businesses, developers and residents apply for and track permits online.

The service is accessible through elkgrovepermits.com. It includes application forms for building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and engineering permits.

Applicants can use the portal to schedule inspections and check the status of a permit or inspection 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Increasing access to government services and being business friendly is an important goal for Elk Grove Village,” Mayor Craig Johnson said in a news release. “This new service delivers an easy and convenient way for us to expand our e-government program. We are pleased to provide the innovative approach that will help our community remain a great place to live, work and conduct business.”
