Waukesha County house fire kills 1, injures 1
GENESSEE, Wis. — Fire authorities in southeastern Wisconsin say flames have swept through a Waukesha County home, killing one person and injuring a second.
The Mukwonago fire chief says authorities were called to the scene Wednesday about 12:30 a.m. after a report that someone was having trouble breathing. Fire Chief Andy Wegner says a police officer arrived and found smoke in the building.
Fire officials rushed to the scene and found the house engulfed in flames. Wegner says the house is a complete loss.
The condition of the injured person wasn’t immediately available.
