Power outage affects nearly 500, slows traffic

A power outage that lasted about an hour this morning in Huntley, affected 490 ComEd customers and left the traffic signals at a pair of intersections flashing red, police said.

The outage, which affected residents and businesses in the downtown area, started at 9:15 a.m. and ComEd restored power an hour later, Deputy Chief Todd Fulton said.

Meanwhile, the flashing traffic signals are still causing minor delays along Route 47, Fulton said.
