Rethink use of plastic bags

I am a seventh-grader working on a project to get people to think about plastic shopping bags. They are called disposable, but they really aren’t. Have you ever driven by the Grayslake Countryside Landfill on a windy day? This holiday season, while we shop, I am asking everyone to please rethink receiving plastic bags with your purchases. How about bringing your own canvas bags? According to sustainablerutland.org, “Americans use over 380 million polyethylene bags and recycle only 1 percent.”-
