Rolling Meadows roadway closed due to crash

The eastbound lanes of Algonquin Road are closed down near Route 53 due to a serious single-vehicle crash.

A small SUV struck a utility pole just east of Route 53 at about 5:45 p.m., and the eastbound lanes remained closed to traffic as of 6:40 p.m.

Rolling Meadows Police and fire rescue crews responded to the crash.
