Green Bay man charged with fatally abusing girl, 1
GREEN BAY, Wis. — A Green Bay man has been charged with causing fatal injuries to his girlfriend’s 13-month-old daughter this summer.
Twenty-nine-year-old Daniel Vega is charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Lilly Maria Tebeau. He’s also accused of two counts of felony child abuse.
A court commissioner set bond Friday at $250,000.
A criminal complaint says Lilly wasn’t breathing and had a skull fracture when she was brought to a hospital Aug. 19. A Green Bay Press-Gazette report says a doctor was told the infant had fallen off a bed, but the injuries weren’t consistent with a fall.
Vega was dating the girl’s mother. He told investigators he tucked the girl into bed, and when he saw her the next morning she felt clammy.
