Caro named to lead Global Simrit

ELGIN — Simrit has appointed Jose Caroto head of global Simrit, where he will be responsible for leading the global Simrit business of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

Caro succeeds Dr. Jan Gupta, who was appointed to head of the oil seals division and will be responsible for directing the largest division within Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

Both appointments will be effective Jan. 1.

Based in Weinheim, Germany, Caro joined the company in 2005. He previously served as export sales director for Europe, where he specialized in wholesale and foreign trade. In this position, Caro shaped the Simrit international business and expanded the division’s global trade business.

Also based in Weinheim, Germany, Gupta served as head of global Simrit for the last eight years. In this position, he was instrumental in establishing the Simrit business on a global level. He holds doctorate degrees in engineering and business administration.

Simrit is part of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies and offers an extensive portfolio of precision-manufactured products for the aerospace, agriculture, appliance, construction, energy, fluid power, mechanical power generation, mechanical power transmission and recreation markets.
