Seniors, watch for government scams
With all the information about seniors being careful to not be scammed, it seems odd that scams by Social Security predators are never mentioned. Having been a victim once and now again, I find it necessary to speak out for the best interests of my counterparts.
I find it unbelievable that after having no raises for two years because of a lack of inflation, they would have the gall to illegally withhold my Social Security check because of an error on their part two years ago that has been resolved. Proof of their error was submitted, and, with the help of then-Congressman Mark Kirk, the issue was corrected with an acknowledgment in writing of their error.
They have continued to illegally harass me and steal my money with no cause. Both Sen. Kirk’s office and Congressman’s Robert Dold’s office have been trying to help permanently resolve this issue.
The Social Security administrators just forge ahead and do as they please. This leads to many other problems that will eventually affect others. Since they have nothing else to do other than harass and steal from an innocent person, the budgetary problem can be solved by eliminating some of the “employees.” They were hired to serve senior citizens, not steal from or harass them.
It is time we take our country back and not leave it in the hands of predators who only have their jobs because of whom they know — patronage jobs. I was told to go to my Social Security office to “try” to straighten out the matter. If they will replace my time loss from work and get rid of the fear I have of going there, I would. How sad that anyone is afraid to go to a public office.
