Wonder Lake man arrested on sex assault charges
Bond was set at $100,000 for a Wonder Lake man charged with sex crimes involving minors while he had other charges pending against him.
The early-morning arrest of David S. Heinz, 44, of the 7600 block of Gene Drive in Wonder Lake, was announced Friday by McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren, who said an investigation had been ongoing.
Nygren said juvenile females in the McHenry and Wonder Lake areas told investigators Heinz provided alcohol to underage women at his home and then sexually assaulted them.
The new charges are criminal sexual assault; aggravated criminal sexual abuse; criminal sexual abuse; battery; and five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The first three charges are felonies.
Previous pending charges in McHenry County include two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse; criminal exploitation of a child; and disorderly conduct, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The first two are felonies.
Another man living at the same address is a registered sex offender.
