Elmhurst man guilty of having child porn
An Elmhurst man has been found guilty of possessing videos and other images containing child pornography.
Paul F. Murphy, 56, was found guilty of fifteen counts of aggravated possession of child pornography — all felonies — by Judge Robert Kleeman this week.
During an online child pornography investigation, Officer Steve Mandat of the Elmhurst Police Department found evidence suggesting Murphy possessed hundreds of images and videos containing child pornography, prosecutors said.
Murphy was taken into custody on Feb. 18 at the Bensenville Public Library.
He could be sentenced to as many as seven years in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Jan. 6.
