Kids to Shop with a Cop in Hoffman Estates

On Saturday, Dec. 10, the Hoffman Estates Police Charitable Foundation will host its 12th annual “Shop With a Cop” holiday event, which benefits children from Hoffman Estates.

Many of the kids selected to participate in the day’s events come from the police department’s Community Resource Center, along with children from local domestic violence shelters supported by Women In Need Growing Stronger. This year’s event will benefit the largest group of needy children the program has ever experienced. A big thanks goes to the support of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses for their support with Shop With a Cop.

All of the children will be treated to a morning shopping spree at the local Target, 2800 N. Sutton Road in Hoffman Estates, with an uniformed officer from the Hoffman Estates Police Department. After they buy and wrap presents for themselves and their family, they will be provided with a complimentary lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2540 N. Sutton Road in Hoffman Estates, a stocking full of goodies provided by Chicago Marriott Northwest in the Poplar Creek at 59/90 Entertainment District and a visit from Santa Claus with presents for all.

This annual event is made possible through the support of charitable businesses and residents, as well as year-round fundraisers. Please send any donations to support this worthwhile event to foundation at: HEPCF, P.O. Box 95611, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169-0611.
