Dem. President + GOP Congress = success?

When it is mentioned that President Clinton created 23 million jobs and ended his presidency with budget surpluses, Republicans are quick to point out that the reason there were budget surpluses and excellent job creation was because there was a Republican Congress.

That’s it — the answer on how to balance the budget and reduce our $15 trillion national debt is that voters should give control of the Senate to Republicans and re-elect President Obama. We then would have the formula for an economic boom, such as what happened the last time we had a Democrat president and a Republican-controlled Congress.

I can see it now, when President Obama ends his second term, he will hand off to his successor a balanced budget and a debt down to $8 trillion.

So now we know — always elect a Democratic president and give control of Congress to Republicans and we will never again have to worry about budget deficits and a huge national debt. And we have Republicans to thank, for letting us know that divided government is a fiscally responsible government.
