Palatine seeks donations for Toys for Tots drive

Employees of village of Palatine, the Palatine Fire Department and the Palatine and Inverness police departments have teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for another Toys for Tots drive.

They’re asking residents to donate new, unwrapped toys for distribution to children in the Northwest suburbs. Toys can be dropped off at Palatine village hall, Palatine Fire Station 85 on Colfax, Inverness Village Hall, the Inverness Police Department, American Legion Post 690 on Palatine Road or Joe Caputo & Son’s Fruit Market on North Rand Road.

The groups hope to exceed last year’s collection of more than 700 cubic feet of toys. This year’s toys will be on display Monday, Dec. 12, at Palatine’s council chambers, 200 E. Wood St. For more information, visit toysfortots.org.
