Arlington Heights Historical Museum announces Holiday Tea programs

Tea programs at the Banta House are a community holiday tradition. Tea is served in the 100-year-old Banta House on the museum grounds and features tea, sweets and finger sandwiches. Two doll teas and two holiday teas are scheduled for this season.

Doll lovers of all ages will enjoy this unique tea. A special display and doll talk will be featured in addition to a tour of the Martha Mills Doll Collection and the Lorraine Korenthal dollhouses. Dolls are welcome to come to tea, too! Doll teas are available from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. or from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Holiday Teas are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 11. The Metropolis School of Performing Arts show choir, The Limelights, perform for the tea held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. A flute trio from the award winning flute choir Flutopia will perform at the tea held from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Teas are for ages 6 through adult. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Fees are $19 for Arlington Heights Park District residents, and $24 for nonresidents. To register, go to ahmuseum.org, click on the “programs” tab and follow the link for the tea of your choice. You may also register in person at any park district registration office.

The historic Banta House is at the corner of Euclid and Vail streets. Free parking is available at the commuter lot located at the corner of Vail and Fremont streets.
