Terramere needs more police patrols
The Terramere Subdivision has been besieged by a rash of burglaries over the past several months.
The recent statistics show that Terramere is now a prime target for residential thieves, yet the northern portion of Arlington Heights, Terramere specifically, continues to be neglected by the Arlington Heights Police Department.
Police patrols are virtually nonexistent, unless you include the after 2 a.m. parking tickets issued for overnight parking.
We can go days without seeing a police car pass through the neighborhood and so can the thieves who’ve been preying on this area. If the Arlington Heights Police Department doesn’t start paying attention to the crime in northern Arlington Heights, we’re going to have a tragedy like the one in Indian Head Park and that is just not acceptable.
We pay taxes (some of the highest in the village), we have families and we’re active participants in this village. We deserve the same police services that the rest of Arlington Heights is getting and we shouldn’t have to be asking.
