Put no faith in long-term forecasts
I wonder if the pseudo-experts who predicted that 12 to 15 hurricanes would strike the U.S. mainland this year (with six or seven of them being catastrophic) are the same “experts” who are confidentially predicting that Chicago will have a colder and snowier winter than usual. It’s kind of hilarious watching the media falling all over themselves with predictions like these especially knowing these same people can’t predict next week’s weather with any degree of accuracy. But two or three months down the road they’ll be right?
But I’d like to make a prediction of my own — one that I know will come true. Next year these same “experts” will make the same predictions and the media will dutifully report them as though they’re the Sermon on the Mount.
