Hearing for Manitowoc woman accused of killing 3

MANITOWOC, Wis. — A Manitowoc woman will soon find out if she will stand trial for allegedly drunken driving and causing a crash that killed three family members.

Becky Holly is charged with three felony counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The 43-year-old allegedly struck 79-year-old Lawrence Gerroll, his 75-year-old wife, LouAnn and their daughter, 48-year-old Joan Gerroll. Holly’s van allegedly left the road and struck them as they watched a roofing project Oct. 12.

A criminal complaint indicates Holly’s blood-alcohol level was about 2.5 times above the legal limit.

The complaint says Holly’s 6-year-old son was in the van and sustained a slight tear of his aorta. Holly now uses a wheelchair.

The Herald Times Reporter (http://htrne.ws/va7PBL) reports the preliminary hearing is Tuesday morning.
