Media, others have it backward

There are people, including the media, who mistakenly believe that the American Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street demonstrators have much in common. Not so.

The Tea Party promotes smaller government, less government intrusion and burdensome regulations, fair taxation, and supports the U.S. Constitution and the free enterprise system. They honor our flag, our service men and women, our police and believe in patriotism and personal responsibility. They rally together for a day or two, do not leave the area in disarray and return to their families and most importantly their jobs.

Yes, they cannot continue their rally for weeks or months. They have responsibilities back home. They are supported by donations from their members and others who support their cause.

The OWS group detests capitalism and our capitalist society, wants bigger government to redistribute wealth, favors huge tax burdens and regulations on businesses and wants government to provide for those who won’t work. They disrespect our flag, our constitution and authority in general. They encourage class warfare.

They want socialism here in the U.S. They obviously do not have jobs or don’t care about their jobs (or families?) while they occupy, defy authority, destroy property, curse our nation and eat, sleep and exist through outside support.

Yet, the Obama administration immediately condemned the Tea Party as racists, terrorists, hooligans, rednecks and worse and continues to do so. Meanwhile they publicly announce supposed sympathy and support for the OWS cause. Isn’t there something terribly wrong with the Obama administrations position regarding these two groups?

They side with a group that is anti-America as we know it and try to degrade a pro-America group. And isn’t there also something wrong with a so-called free, unbiased media who marches in lock step with the Obama administration rather than doing some real investigative reporting?
