Former school custodian gets prison for child porn

A former custodian at a Plainfield high school has been ordered to spend 15 years in federal prison and pay $20,000 in fines on charges that he possessed and transported child pornography.

Anthony Skoien, 48, of Joliet pleaded guilty in February to charges that he made thousands of pornographic images of children. Authorities say he later made those images available on a file-sharing program.

Skoien was working at Plainfield South High School when arrested in August 2010.

Federal prosecutors say nearly 6,000 of the 7,500 children have been identified, while an additional 1,500 kids have not.

A judge also ordered Skoien to spend 15 years on post-prison supervised release.
