Lake County woman nominated for award
A Libertyville woman who founded an animal rescue program has been nominated for Culver’s Hometown Hero Award.
Sandy Kamen Wisniewski, founder and director of Animal Education Animal Rescue, is up for the award. The prize recognizes people who make positive differences in our lives.
The winner will receive $5,000.
Wisniewski was nominated by Nancy and Don Hinton of Lake Villa.
“Sandy is a caring, compassionate person dedicated to protecting animals, while at the same time educating the public to their special needs,” Don Hinton said.
“We would encourage every pet and animal lover out there to cast a vote daily for Sandy and AEAR.”
The voting is open until Dec. 5. Voters may cast one vote daily.
