Distict 50 to host food drive for families

Woodland Elementary District 50 will host a Holiday Food Drive through Dec. 9 to help feed families in the school district.

“We are grateful to live and work in such a generous community,” said Superintendent Joy A. Swoboda. “Any donation you can give, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Our children and their families are the direct beneficiaries of the community’s kindness.”

The district is also collecting new or gently used books. Parents may send their donations to school with their child or drop them off at the Woodland Educational Support Center, 1105 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee. Call (847) 596-5600 for information.
