Naperville Police are searching for two men who robbed a Domino's Pizza in the 2000 block of South Washington overnight, police said. The men entered the store at approximately 11:34 p.m., wearing masks, displayed hand guns and demanded money. After grabbing an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled. The first suspect is described as a male white, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark colored canvass coat and work boots, while the second suspect is a male black, wearing a ski mask.
College of DuPage trustees all vote to split from Glen Ellyn
COD's board of trustees last night formally endorsed a resolution seeking to disconnect the 273-acre campus from the village of Glen Ellyn after 39 years. In a unanimous vote, the seven-member board agreed to authorize college President Robert Breuder “to take all action necessary” to deannex. “We all know divorces happen in life,” Breuder said. “In our mind we have a marriage that is broken. Let's just move ahead and agree this partnership doesn't work anymore.” Full story.
Ron Santo up for Hall of Fame vote
Ron Santo suffered nearly constant pain and misery during the final decade of his life, but the worst of it wasn't physical -- it was the emotional torture of consistently believing he'd make it into the Hall of Fame, only to be disappointed over and over again. Nearly a year after he died, there will be another Hall of Fame vote. "I've always said I wouldn't want it to happen if I was dead, so I hope I live that long,” Santo said in '91. Full story.
Cain accuser receives eviction papers
Sharon Bialek, who publicly accused presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment earlier this month, has been served eviction papers due to $7,500 in back rent, according to police. Cook County deputies served the notice to appear in court to Bialek's 13-year-old son, who met police at the door with her 60-year-old brother-in-law at their Glenview townhouse Tuesday evening. Sears sends hopeful memo to employees after failed legislation...
A day after lawmakers left Springfield without agreeing on a tax-break deal requested by Sears Holdings, the company sent employees a memo saying they have not given up hope on the legislation. The Hoffman Estates-based company's internal memo told employees the retail giant is committed to looking at all options while leaving the door open for a possible move out of Illinois. Full story.

Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod doesn't think Sears Holdings Corp.'s threat to move out without more tax breaks is a bluff. He should know. Men swindled more than $1 million from Park Ridge association
Two suburban men charged with embezzling more than $1 million over six years pleaded guilty yesterday to the crime. James Lurito of Algonquin and Harvey Cruz of Plainfield stole the money from Million Dollar Round Table, a Park Ridge association with 30,000 members where the men worked. Lurito, 64, was sentenced to one year in prison and Cruz, 44, was sentenced to seven years in prison. Full story.
Round Lake man pleads not guilty to murder charge
A Round Lake Park man who police say tossed a brick into a car carrying rival gang members, killing one man, pleaded not guilty yesterday to first-degree murder. Willie Davis Jr., 20, saw a fellow gang member on foot being chased by rivals in an SUV and threw a landscaping brick through the vehicle's windshield, causing the SUV to go out of control at more than 55 mph and into a tree, police said. An 18-year-old Round Lake man was killed in the crash. Full story.
Hoffman Estates teacher was living with student
Hoffman Estates police are investigating whether an inappropriate relationship existed between a Hoffman Estates High School teacher, who has resigned, and a former student who was living with her. The teacher said the student moved in with her a week before school started with the approval of his mother but kept the arraignment under wraps knowing it would cause an outcry. The teacher was suspended by the school district earlier this year. Full story.

Traffic
Traffic is semi-decent outside of Chicago, but backed up in the city due to several accidents on major expressways. No major accidents are slowing things down on any area roadways at this point, but normal congestion is everywhere. People are urged to avoid Cedar Lake Road between Rosedale Court and Rollins Road in Round Lake for resurfacing and pavement marking. Lanes will be closed during the construction. Full traffic.
Cutler acknowledges he may miss entire season
Injured Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said yesterday he could miss the rest of the season after breaking and dislocating his thumb in Week 11 against San Diego. “It could be I'm done for the season. I just have to realize that there is a long-term picture here, but at the same point I want to be out there, and my teammates want me to be out there,” he said. Cutler had three screws and two pins inserted into the thumb. Full story.
Cubs land lefty in OF David DeJesus
The Cubs' have finally landed a left-handed batter who may also fill the leadoff role. Yesterday's signing of veteran outfielder David DeJesus will hopefully add balance to the team's lineup. The deal pays DeJesus $4.25 million in each of the next two seasons with a third option year worth $6.5 million. The 32-year-old has a lifetime .284 average, but his numbers were down last year. Adele a Grammy nomination leader, as is Kanye West, sort of
Adele scored six Grammy nominations last night, including for record, song and album of the year, but the owner of the 2011's best-selling album with “21” wasn't the night's top nominee — and that wasn't the evening's only surprise. Kanye West came away with a leading seven nominations, including a bid for song of the year for his all-star song “All of the Lights.” But the album from which it came — “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” heralded by many critics as the best album of 2010 — was shut out of the best album category, and all of his other nominations were relegated to the rap fields.
