Palatine’s Quest Academy finalizes acquisitions to expand

Quest Academy, an independent school for gifted students, announced it finalized two separate acquisitions to expand its footprint in Palatine. In the first, the school purchased the adjacent Palatine Centre retail plaza on Northwest Highway to increase space and create an investment opportunity. Quest will serve as both tenant and landlord, utilizing some of the space itself and leasing the rest. In the second transaction, Quest, which enrolls about 280 students from preschool through eighth grade, bought a 3.68-acre parcel of green space a couple blocks west facing Plum Grove Road. It enables the school to expand its athletic and outdoor education programs. Quest isn’t disclosing the terms. School officials hope some portion of the land will be available for student use by September 2012.
