Public needs to hear of the alternatives
I read with interest the article published by Deana Bellandi of The Associated Press about the current lawsuit regarding the new U.S. Congressional map drawn up by Illinois Democrats. What interested me was what was left out of the article.
A majority of states have taken politics out of redistricting over the years and the author of this article would have done a great service to inform the public how other states make their changes. The public deserves to know there are alternatives.
