North Aurora Subway robbed

For the second time in a week, a Subway restaurant has been robbed in central Kane County.

At about 8:09 p.m. Monday, a man robbed the Subway at 53 S. Randall Road in North Aurora, in the Clock Tower Plaza shopping center.

Police said the man pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at an employee and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect is described as white, mid- to late 20s and 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall. He had short, scruffy facial hair, light to medium brown. The robber wore a gray puffy coat, knit hat, gloves and blue iridescent mirrored sunglasses,

At 9 p.m. Nov. 24, a man robbed the Subway restaurant on Randall Road in Batavia. That suspect is described as white, wearing gloves, sunglasses, a puffy blue jacket and a wool stocking cap featuring stripes, tassels and ear flaps.
