5 Occupy protesters arrested at Indiana University

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Police officers arrested five protesters who tried to block an entrance into a recruitment event by JPMorgan Chase Bank at Indiana University’s business school.

Dozens of protesters from the Occupy Bloomington and Occupy IU groups crowded into the hallway Tuesday evening, with campus police arresting the five people after they refused to get up from the floor in front of the doorway into the bank’s event.

The Herald-Times reports all five face preliminary charges of criminal trespass and were released from the Monroe County Jail on their own recognizance.

Protesters criticized JPMorgan for contributing to the 2008 financial collapse.
