Palatine police, fire group’s raffle to support Toys for Tots

The Palatine Police and Fire Benevolent Association is hosting a holiday Rocking Chair Raffle to support the United States Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots collection program.

For the next three weeks, raffle tickets will be sold at six Palatine-area businesses with a drawing scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10. One lucky winner will be drawn at each location (six winners total) and will be awarded an official USMC children’s wooden rocking chair.

The participating Palatine businesses include; American Legion Post 690,122 W. Palatine Road; Golf Nation, 399 N. Quentin Road; Lamplighters Inn, 60 N. Bothwell St.; Oak Alley Saloon, 783 N. Quentin Road; Pops Bar & Grill, 19 N. Bothwell St.; and the White House Inn, 801 W. Palatine Road.

All proceeds from the raffle will be used to purchase toys at the Palatine Wal-Mart with most toys being distributed back to needy children in the immediate area.
