Boy dies from crash at S. Ind. motocross track

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy has died after being injured in a crash at a southern Indiana motocross track.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department says Mark Cain of Columbus was hurt Friday afternoon at the Hoosier Hilltoppers motocross track near the community of Paris Crossing. The Republic of Columbus reports that Mark was flown by helicopter to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky., where he died later that day.

Mark was a seventh grader at Central Middle School in Columbus.
