Notre Dame defeats Bryant 84-59

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Eric Atkins scored 18 points, leading five Notre Dame players in double figures, and the Irish easily defeated Bryant 84-59 on Sunday.

Atkins also had nine assists. Jerian Grant posted his first double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Notre Dame (5-2), which had lost its previous two games. Joey Brooks and Alex Dragicevich each had 13 points and Scott Martin scored 12 in the Irish’s first game since losing senior forward Tim Abromaitis for the rest of the season with an ACL tear suffered during practice last Friday.

Bryant (1-5), which has played all of its games on the road so far, was led by Alex Francis’ 22 points. Frankie Dobbs added 13 and Corey Maynard 11.
