Artist Robert Klunk returns to Adler Exhibition Series
Recent copper etchings and reissues of favorite prints by artist Robert Klunk will be displayed as part of the Adler Exhibition Series at the David Adler Music and Arts Center in Libertyville, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, Dec. 2-17.
Klunk’s exhibition, “Retrospective of Etchings,” will showcase his talent for the craft and will give art followers the opportunity to discover the beauty of this rare art medium, copper etchings and watercolor.
Inspired by his many travels and love for architectural history, Klunk’s work is exceedingly detailed, from his conceptual sketches and handmade paper to the final matting and salvaged framing.
After the success of his first exhibit in 2001, Klunk is “honored to again be associated with the David Adler Music and Arts Center. To mark his 10-year anniversary as an Adler Exhibition Artist, Klunk will allow for a special reissue of his Libertyville works, including images of the Cook Park Rose Garden and the David Adler House. Just in time for the holidays, most items on display will also be available for purchase.
The exhibition will kick off with an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, with complimentary wine, musical entertainment and a chance to meet with Klunk.
