Thankful for Meson Sabika generosity
Happy Thanksgiving, Naperville. I am so thankful to live in a community full of people who volunteer their time, give of their resources, and lend a little of themselves to help others who are less fortunate.
We are blessed with an active service club community including the Jaycees, Exchange Club, Rotary Clubs, Lions, Kiwanis; the list goes on and on. Each of these clubs is populated with passionate people who volunteer their time that we should all be thankful for. At this time of year, we focus on family and hopefully reflect on those who have made a difference in our lives, and in the lives of others.
I would like to give a warm community hug to the owner of Meson Sabika, Hossein Jamali, and his family for all of the things they do year round to help those in need both locally and around the world. Again this year they are opening their doors at Meson Sabika and providing a warm Thanksgiving meal to those in our community that have no other place to go. At last count, they are planning on having more than 1,900 people in Naperville and 600 at their Chicago restaurant, Tapas Valencia.
This wonderful man and his family provide these meals at no charge so that people can have a nice Thanksgiving meal and for that, I say we all should be thankful.
