Carols starts Friday in Chicago’s Millennium Park

Starting this Friday hundreds of singers will gather in downtown Chicago’s Millennium Park each week for holiday caroling.

This year is the sixth season for “Caroling at Cloud Gate.”

The city of Chicago invites different local choral groups to perform a 50-minute holiday sing-along every Friday night through Dec. 16. This year’s groups include the Chicago Chamber Choir, the Apollo Chorus of Chicago, the Windy City Gay Chorus and the Wicker Park Choral Singers.

Caribou Coffee will provide free warm beverages.

The caroling is in addition to other city-sponsored holiday events, like ice skating in Millennium Park and the lighting of the Christmas tree at Daley Plaza.
