Hoffman Estates transit survey is out

Hoffman Estates has hired a traffic consultant to study transit service in Hoffman Estates.

Paper surveys have been sent to various employers, and phone interviews with selected businesses will be done by the consultant, Land Vision. The study is funded by a grant from the Regional Transportation Authority.

As well, all residents and those who work in Hoffman Estates are invited to take the survey at landvision.com/hoffmanestates.There also are kiosks set up around town to take the survey, including the village hall, St. Alexius Medical Center, the Scott R. Triphahn Community Center Ice Arena, and the Prairie Stone Sports Wellness Center. The village would like all surveys to be in by Dec. 2.The eventual goal is to enhance the existing assets of Hoffman Estates, while simultaneously maximizing the community#146;s transit ridership potential through elimination of service gaps and improvements to overall system efficiency.Input by residents as well as persons working in the village is critical for success, and they ask that all residents and employees take the survey to help guide the future decisions for public transportation in Hoffman Estates.For more information, contact Senior Planner James Donahue at (847) 781-2666, or by email at james.donahue@hoffmanestates.org.
