We need, want, deserve hospital

My grandchildren are the sixth generation of the Ruth family to call Huntley “home.” I have watched our small hometown surrounded by family farms grow into a bustling village with many young families and the largest senior living community in Illinois.

In the 1950s, the Huntley community allied to build a clinic to entice a physician to serve the area. Today as before, we are again joining together, this time to bring a hospital to our area.

Centegra Hospital-Huntley is the perfect hospital for our community. The proposed site is centrally located with major roads on three sides, across the street from our fire station and a block from two grade schools. The quality of care that Centegra Health System offers has been a focus of mine for more than a decade.

It is my goal to bring that quality of care to my family and all the residents of the Huntley community. We need, we want and we deserve this hospital.
