Northwestern (3-0) vs. Seton Hall (3-0)

When: 7:30 p.m. at TD Arena, Charleston, S.C.

The skinny: The Wildcats’ best players have risen to the occasion so far at the Charleston Classic. John Shurna scored 37 points in a first-round win over LSU, then Drew Crawford produced 28 points in a 69-65 victory over Tulsa on Friday. Those wins sent Northwestern into the title game against Seton Hall, which beat VCU and St. Joseph’s to reach the championship. The Pirates are led by 6-0 senior Jordan Theodore (21.0 points) and 6-8 senior Herb Pope (19.3 points, 12.3 rebounds).

Eastern Illinois (1-1) at Northern Illinois (0-3)

When: 1 p.m. at NIU Convocation Center

The skinny: Northern Illinois has struggled against a couple of Big Ten opponents and is shooting just 32.1 percent as a team. Freshman Abdel Nader (Niles North H.S.), the team’s top scorer at 11.0 ppg, is at 30.4 percent from the field. EIU, which beat Loyola 65-61 on Wednesday, is led by 6-1 guard Jeremy Granger (Elgin H.S.) at 18 points per game.

Loyola (0-3) at Furman (2-1)

When: 1 p.m. at Timmons Arena

The skinny: Loyola wraps up its season-opening, four-game road trip with a visit to Greenville, S.C. The Ramblers will open the renovated Gentile Arena next Saturday against Fordham. Walt Gibler, a 6-7 senior, is off to a good start, averaging 12.3 points and shooting 54 percent from the field. Furman’s two wins have come against Roanoke and Columbia.
