Toys for Tots at Barrington holiday event

U.S. Marines Toys for Tots will be joining with the village of Barrington during the village’s welcome of Santa on Dec. 3 at “Barrington Aglow — A Holiday Tradition.” Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted between 1 and 7 p.m. that day on South Cook Street next to Santa’s red house downtown. Volunteers will be manning an information table and collecting donations. Whether you are in town to ride the Barrington Holiday Trolley or taking a horse-drawn carriage ride to visit Santa in his house, plan to bring a toy to share with a deserving child. Since 1947, the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves Toys for Tots program has provided toys to millions of children throughout the country.
