Two injured in Elgin crash

A 63-year-old Rockford woman was been ticketed for her role in an early Thursday morning, two-vehicle crash in Elgin, police said.

Donna M. McCullough of the 3200 block of Bildahl Street, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and for having no insurance at the time of the crash, Elgin Police Spokeswoman Sue Olafson said.

The collision occurred at about 8:15 a.m. at Shales Parkway and East Chicago Street.

Police say McCullough drove her 2007 Buick Lucerne through the intersection before slamming into a 2002 GMC Envoy driven by a 48-year-old Elgin woman.

Both women were taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with non life-threatening injuries.
