Daley’s daughter gets married early
The daughter of former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley got married several weeks earlier than expected due to her mother Maggie’s health.
Elizabeth “Lally” Daley walked down the aisle Thursday night at a downtown Chicago restaurant with her father and mother. The 27-year-old Daley had originally scheduled her wedding for New Year’s Eve, but she and now-husband Sam Hotchkiss rescheduled the ceremony.
Maggie Daley has been battling metastatic breast cancer since 2002.
Guests at the wedding included Chicago’s current mayor, Rahm Emanuel, and his wife, Amy Rule. Also attending were White House chief of staff Bill Daley, the bride’s uncle, and former White House social secretary Desiree Rogers.
Lally Daley wore her mother’s wedding dress.
