Learn about Lake County’s farm history

Farm history will be the topic of the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society’s monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 in the downstairs meeting room at the Cook Park Library, 413 North Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

“Our Farm Heritage” will be presented by the The Lake County Farm Heritage Foundation. Paul Geiselhart will talk the county’s agricultural history and its farmers.

Lake County’s rich farm history currently is being documented and preserved by the organization, with the hopes of eventually operating a working, educational history farm from the 1930’s/1940’s — the golden era of Lake County agriculture. The farm would serve as an educational resource for area schoolchildren in kindergarten through 12th grades.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Call (847) 456-2572 or email jimmoran77@gmail.com.
